Business Continuity Standard being updated

The ISO22301 standard published in May 2012 is due for a bit of a revamp. This was the first ISO standard to follow the Annex SL framework which all management standards have used since then. The new version of the standard is due to be published around November 2019.
I have had the opportunity to look at the final draft version (FDIS) of the new standard and there is not much in terms of change, except some definitions have been dropped and few new ones have been included.
The standard itself has undergone a minor restructure to align closer with recently published management standards and to reflect current best business continuity practices.
As usual it is expected that existing organisations who are certified to ISO22301 will have approximately three years to transition to the new version of the standard, but at first glance this does not look to be a major challenge.
